How much does an online dental consultation cost?
£19.99 for a video consultation with a GDC registered UK dentist. You pay when you book. If you then need to be seen in person, a £39.99 assessment at a participating practice is a separate, optional step.
Can an online dentist prescribe antibiotics?
Sometimes. Your dentist will only prescribe if it is clinically appropriate after talking with you.
How do I get my prescription?
If your dentist prescribes, the prescription is sent to you electronically and you can collect it from any UK pharmacy.
What can't be done online?
A dentist cannot take X-rays, drill, fill or extract a tooth over video. If you need hands-on treatment, your dentist will tell you and can point you to a participating practice.
Do I need to be registered with a dentist?
No. ToothAid is private and you do not need to be registered with an NHS or private dentist to book.
